All visitors to Mainland China must hold valid Chinese Visas. Due to G20 summit in Hangzhou, all visa applicants for attending VPPC2016 cannot be processed in local consulate before 11 September. Therefore, we strongly advise that participants should submit visa application to local consulate well in advance, but not early than 11 September. Please clearly read the following statements:
There are two main steps to obtain a Chinese visa for conference purpose:
1. Applying for invitation letter to VPPC secretariat as soon as possible (Not affected by G20 summit).
To obtain an invitation letter for visa application, please firstly create an account at the lower left corner of conference home page(http://www.vppc2016.org). Then you can log in with the created username and password. Once logged in, click on Registration button and then Visa information button right underneath. This will take you to the online visa application information form to be filled in and submitted. You also need to upload the proof of registration fee and the scanned front page of your passport. In case you plan to bring family members, you can select number of accompanying persons at the very bottom of the online form, fill out the same form for them, and upload the proofs of payment for registration fee and the scanned front pages of their passports.
When filling in the visa application information form, please note that the longest stay shown in the official invitation letter will be 15 days and the number of entries is once. Therefore, please choose your date of first entry carefully. If you encounter technical difficulty with the online form, you may contact Dr. Taiying Zheng by email: vppc2016@zju.edu.cn.
Upon receiving your online Visa Application Information form on the VPPC2016 website and registration fee, the secretariat will send you the electronic official visa invitation.
2. Applying for visa to your nearest consulate not early than 11 September (Affected by G20 summit)
Contact your nearest consulate for information how to apply for a visa. It should be noted again that the visa application should be submitted to local consulate well in advance, but not early than 11 September due to G20 summit. The printed official visa invitation will be valid since 11 September, as we will directly send the electronic official visa invitation to your nearest consulate after 10 September due to G20 summit.
